Career: Trainee Site Manager

Assisting in the coordination and control of the construction project from the design stage right through to completion and handing over of the project including programming, planning, Health and Safety, ordering materials participating in meetings.

Main Duties

  • Understanding the design and specification to be delivered on the Development
  • Assist in preparing a delivery programme to include:
    • Labour resources
    • Material requirements
    • Timescales
    • Design inputs
    • Commissioning
       
  • Checking work processes meet building regulations
  • Liaison with the design team and Client Representatives alongside the Site Manager
  • Co-ordinating labour resources to match the programme       
  • Monitoring the progress of the work.
  • Writing reports
  • Monitoring progress against programme
  • Attend and participate in Sub Contractors Meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of short term programmes

General Responsibilities

  • To undertake general duties required
  • To learn and implement all administrative systems that impact on the role
  • To ensure all Health and Safety Policies and Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to
  • To maintain confidentiality and adhere to Data Protection at all time.
  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
  • Undertake any other duty relevant to the position including the provision of short-term cover for holidays and other absences for colleagues of a similar position
